The Healing Balm of Consolation

In Memory of my beloved Wife Alice

If you are a Mason and enjoying life and find that each day is a pleasure,
And that pleasure is shared with a wonderful wife, It adds to the joy beyond measure.
But if the day comes when she leaves you behind and the days become sombre and sad,
If you have good fortune, you may well find that some things will make you feel glad.

Glad for the family that plays a big part,
Glad for the friends rallying round,
Glad for the Faith that strengthens your heart
and glad for the Brothers you`ve found

Who shake your hand firmly and wish you well, (and perhaps put a glass in your hand !)
Whatever they do, it is easy to tell they care, and that feeling is grand.
So you cherish the memories of days in the past and try hard to banish your sorrow,
For there is a hope to which you hold fast - It could be a great day tomorrow !
